This is an Excel file containing a comprehensive overview of trends in the New Zealand beef industry as well as their cattle industry. It comprises five spreadsheets with ample graphics with up to date information which will provide you with a complete understanding of the trends in the major parameters of the New Zealand beef and cattle industries.

The first spreadsheet provides explanatory notes and outlines what is contained on the following four sheets. This file provides a comprehensive analysis of the latest trends in the New Zealand beef and cattle industries.

The second spreadsheet provides the details of New Zealand's total beef from 1961 including the first forecasts for 2017. The second spreadsheet also contains notes under each of the 8 GRAPHS identifying the relevant trends in the New Zealand industry.

A third spreadsheet includes forecasts for 2015, 2016 and 2017, for all countries, of total beef production, imports, exports and domestic consumption. The spreadsheet also shows the annual changes from 2016 to the forecast for 2017. A graphic for each of the parameters showing the top countries in the world (with New Zealand's place in the order identified where relevant) for that parameter (e.g. production, consumption etc.) is also included with comments accompanying each of these GRAPHS.

The fourth spreadsheet provides the details of New Zealand's total cattle numbers and trends since 1961 including the first forecasts for 2017. The fourth spreadsheet also contains notes on each of the 12 GRAPHS identifying trends in the New Zealand cattle industry.  In addition data on New Zealand's total meat production and consumption and livestock numbers is an added bonus.These notes are also provided under each relevant graph for ease of reference.

A fifth spreadsheet includes forecasts for 2015, 2016 and 2017, for all countries, of total cattle numbers and movements. It includes opening dairy and beef cow numbers, live cattle imports and exports, calf numbers, total slaughter numbers and the ending inventory. The spreadsheet also shows the annual changes from 2016 to the forecast for 2017. A graphic for each of the parameters showing the top countries in the world (with New Zealand's place identified in the order where relevant) for that parameter (e.g. total numbers, slaughter numbers etc.) is also included. Again comments are provided with each of these GRAPHS.
