This is an Excel file containing a comprehensive overview of the United States of America (US) beef and cattle industries. It comprises five spreadsheets with clear graphics and up to date information that will provide you with a full understanding of the structure and trends in the US beef and cattle industries. The first forecasts for 2020 are included.

The first spreadsheet provides explanatory notes and outlines what is contained on the following four sheets.

The second spreadsheet provides the details of total US beef from 1961 including the first forecasts for 2020. The second spreadsheet also contains notes on each of the 15 GRAPHS identifying trends in the US industry. The comments in the notes accompanying each GRAPH are the key to gaining the most from the mass of data supplied.

A third spreadsheet includes forecasts for 2018, 2019 and 2020, for all countries, of total beef production, imports, exports, total domestic consumption and consumption per person. The spreadsheet also shows the annual changes from 2019 to the forecast for 2020. A graphic for each of the parameters showing the top countries in the world for that parameter (e.g. production, consumption etc.) is also included with comments accompanying each of 10 GRAPHS. The US's position is highlighted in each case.

The fourth spreadsheet provides the details of US cattle numbers and trends since 1961 including the first forecasts for 2020.
The fourth spreadsheet also contains notes on each of the 14 GRAPHS identifying trends in the US cattle industry.

Also included on this spreadsheet are the trends in cattle numbers in most of the main beef producing countries. These include Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the EU, Canada, Argentina, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Uruguay and Mexico and include 5 GRAPHS showing these trends.

A fifth spreadsheet includes forecasts for 2018, 2019 and 2020, for all countries, of total cattle numbers and movements. It includes opening dairy and beef cow numbers, live cattle imports and exports, calf numbers, total slaughter numbers and the ending inventory. The spreadsheet shows the annual changes from 2019 to the forecast for 2020. A graphic for each of the parameters showing the top countries in the world for that parameter (e.g. total numbers, slaughter numbers etc.) is also included. The US's position is highlighted in each case. Again, comments are provided with each of these 10 GRAPHS.
